A this and that post

I have a few things on my mind...
First is how happy I am to finally have my jewelry available and hanging.

Second thing, I don't know that I love it all that much cause now its all out there where Derek can clearly see how much jewelry I have so when I find some jewelry item I want to buy, he obviously is going to think I don't need it. But really, any guy would think more than two of each type of jewelry is too much. Am I right? And that's so not true. :)

Thirdly: my v-day flowers are alive and well. Say whaaa??? I'm so thrilled. Maybe the Magic Bullet pitcher for a week as the vase is the trick. Or maybe cause we finally have sunlight! I'm lovin it.

Fourth item to discuss is my mixed feelings of this whole experience. I'm jealous. I'm jealous Derek is doing a Masters. Sometimes I think it's not fair that I have to go work all day while he learns. I would love to do a Masters. But then I remind myself how blessed I am that he is able to do a Masters to be able to support our future family so that I can live my dream of being a Mom, and how blessed I am that I have a job to support us to get done faster. I'm having to remind myself this frequently.

5: check out this beautiful view I have to keep me company while walking home.

I hope you are all well. Truly I do. I think I speak for both Derek and I when I say that. And we appreciate your support and love so much in this crazy, exciting, scary, and eventful adventure we're on. Thank you!!!

xoxo,
Mandy

PS...I'm sorry if you get sick of the bipolar headers. I can't stick with one. I love designing them too much. If you ever want me to make one for ya, I'd be thrilled. It's my outlet and makes me so happy.

  1. Okay, so you don't know me at all, but I found your blog from Steph Mulford and am pretty sure that you know my friend Larissa Rees too! Well I have fallen in love with yours and Derek's love story and adventures and actually love seeing all the different blog headers you have made. When I see them, I get an artsy feeling and want to create my own but have no idea how. Would it be totally weird to ask to you do one for my blog? I'm about to have a baby (t minus 13 days) and need to change it up once he gets here. If this is TOTALLY awkward for you, I understand, but your blog is so darling. Sorry for the stalker status!

  2. I'd love a header for my craft blog! I'll email you later. You're amazing. I'm glad you're working - being a mom is much harder but much more rewarding than a masters. :) You can always do school after Derek's done, even with kids. Don't ever stop learning.

  4. First of all reading your posts makes me so happy that you guys are in NY and that you get to have this great adventure...I can't wait to visit one day. You will be a great mom when the time comes, just enjoy this time you have with Derek right now. It is so important that you guys just enjoy each other right now. I am glad that N & I had that time. Don't get me wrong I love being a mom! Oh and if you really want to do another header for me that would be great love you:)

  5. I completely second Roxy even though I don't know her. I love reading your little adventures, Amanda. :)
And I will PAY you to make my blog pretty. I have a blog that I share with three friends, and we basically just write update letters to each other via the blog. If you made it pretty in any way I would love that, because it's incredibly boring-looking right now.

I know this sounds like a bad time to bring this up (now that everyone's begging for one) but I've been wondering if you could make a header for our quote blog!

And as your blood relation, I'm pretty sure I call dibs. Just sayin'. :)

  7. I know what you mean about the mixed feelings. I'm so glad Spencer is going to law school and will be able to provide, but I had to turn down grad school (I was accepted to Fordham) to work at a job I didn't like to provide for us. I just stick on that long list of things he owes me. :)
